Sunday School

November 5 at 10:00 am - 10:45 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Sunday, repeating until May 20, 2018

Sunday School is a ministry for all children at Prince of Peace.  Kids are divided into age-level classes led by volunteer leaders from the Kids Team.  These volunteers share the love of God through passing on stories from Scripture tied to what is happening in worship.  We value families worshiping together, so this faith formation time happens from 10:00 am-10:45 am. For more information on your child(ren)'s classroom, teacher, or anything else you'd like to know, please check out our Sunday School page. All families are asked to complete a form at the beginning of each school year for all of our youth and children’s ministries, including Sunday School and POP456. You can fill out the form in the Gathering Space on the computers or at home online at www.popluther.org/child-youth-information-form. You are always welcome - whether you make it once a month, once a week, or once in a while.  We are glad you're here!

First Communion Workshop

November 5 at 12:15 pm - 2:00 pm

As Lutherans we love the Word and the Sacraments. We believe that we receive God's grace through them. First Communion is your chance to explore with your child what it means to receive God's grace through the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This is an important milestone for your child.   This is a wonderful opportunity for your family to go deeper into your faith formation together and for your child to receive communion for the first time. First Communion materials are geared for 1st - 3rd graders, but if you as a parent feel that your child is ready earlier, or if your student is older than 3rd grade and wants to receive First Communion, you are welcome!  If you have questions, please feel free to talk to Pastor Lorne and we will work to accommodate you. ————————————————————————————————— First Communion Workshop: Fall Session 2017 Sunday, November 5 – 12:15pm-2:00pm Parents and children attend the workshop together.   Children receive First Communion: Saturday, November 11 or Sunday, November 12   Please sign up by November 3.
