Redefining Normal: A retreat for High School Students

December 1, 2017 at 6:30 pm - December 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm

Who: 9th-12th grade students & friends.  Due to the location of this retreat, we are limited to 26 participants, so please sign up sooner rather than later. What: Annual PoP Youth Retreat Where:   Covington, KY in an oldschool mansion!  (see the some photos at the bottom of this page). Why:  Have you ever wondered what the Church could be in the world if ordinary people became extraordinary disciples? “Redefining Normal” is an invitation to reclaim the life of faith from inside the religion of Christianity.  Come spend the weekend with friends in a cool setting, exploring downtown and doing some cool adventures, all while we look into our call to redefine normal. How much: The cost of the retreat is $105 for the whole weekend or $55 per night (with two meals included each night).  You can pay a deposit ($50) and then final payment or pay in full now.  You must sign up by November 20.  You can turn in checks (made payable to POP) to Mary Ellen Helms’ mailbox or pay online by clicking the link in the registration email. Please don't let the cost of this retreat prevent you from participating. If you need financial assistance, we are glad to help. If you have other commitments and need to come and go, that works!  Just check in with Mary Ellen and leave that info on your sign up! Contact Mary Ellen Helms with questions (MEHelms@popluther.org or 683-4244)

Sunday School

December 3, 2017 at 10:00 am - 10:45 am
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Sunday, repeating until May 20, 2018

Sunday School is a ministry for all children at Prince of Peace.  Kids are divided into age-level classes led by volunteer leaders from the Kids Team.  These volunteers share the love of God through passing on stories from Scripture tied to what is happening in worship.  We value families worshiping together, so this faith formation time happens from 10:00 am-10:45 am. For more information on your child(ren)'s classroom, teacher, or anything else you'd like to know, please check out our Sunday School page. All families are asked to complete a form at the beginning of each school year for all of our youth and children’s ministries, including Sunday School and POP456. You can fill out the form in the Gathering Space on the computers or at home online at www.popluther.org/child-youth-information-form. You are always welcome - whether you make it once a month, once a week, or once in a while.  We are glad you're here!

Advent Awakenings will be a time, through music and meditations, to awaken ourselves as we prepare for the celebration of Christ's birth. We are privileged to offer this ministry to Prince of Peace and area churches at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 3. Non-perishable food donations will be accepted for the LIFE Food Pantry.
