Knitting Group in Loveland at Prince of Peace

Knit Together

Knit Together meets every Thursday at 5:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace. The group is open to people of all knitting ability levels, including beginners and experienced knitters. Chat, relax and practice this ancient art. Bring your current project. The group also has a prayer shawl ministry.

Explore local craft breweries across Cincinnati and discover community by developing and fostering relationships with others from POP.  Must be 21+ years old. 4th Friday of each month at a location picked by the monthly POP host. No need to RSVP. Just show up. All are welcome. Bring a friend!

Serve with VEIL: Summer Reading Program

Volunteers (students and adults) are needed to support a new summer reading program at a Lutheran mission congregation in West Chester. This Spanish-speaking mission congregation is looking for people to read and play with kids – English speakers welcome! Please note, there is no program on June 20 or July 4. Serve with NEST: POP WEEK

During the summer months, NEST serves and supports its mission (transformation through education and nutrition) by sponsoring a weekday Lunch, Learn and Play Program.  A free lunch is supplied, camp games, crafts and sports are facilitated, and grade level skill retention activities are provided in which the students can engage.  The program is run in two of the same low-income neighborhoods in Loveland that NEST serves throughout the school year, providing tutoring and snacks. Prince of Peace is committed to providing volunteers to support the Lunch, Learn, and Play program during the week of July 30-August 2. Two to 8 adults are needed each day to help make this summer program happen.  Children are welcome to attend under supervision of their parent(s). The Summer program runs from 12:30pm to 2:30pm each Monday through Thursday. Volunteers need to arrive by 12:15 pm. Volunteers on Thursday will be coordinated through the POP Mini-Mission week. Zumba Fitness

All ages 12+ are welcome to Zumba Fitness® classes at Prince of Peace, featuring dance fitness such as salsas, meregue, and cumbia. Check with your doctor before beginning a new fitness program. Initial waiver needed at sign in. Free will donations accepted. June-Aug: Classes at 7 pm (no classes week of Vacation Bible School, week of June 18) Sept-May: Classes at 6:30 pm

Mini Mission Week

A chance for all to serve in our community! Our faith propels us into lives of action to love and serve our neighbors and the world.    We seek to strengthen our faith, our families, and our community.  We hope you will take part in this local mission trip for teens, families, individuals, kids, and anyone who wants to join Jesus in building a world restored with grace & peace. Who? · Teens entering 7th through 12th grade are invited without a parent. · Kids in 6th grade and under are invited to serve with a parent to join them for their time. · Individuals or couples (adults!) are encouraged to join us for what works for your schedule. YOUTH TEAM members are needed to help provide meals, transportation, and support throughout the mini-mission week. Daily Schedule 8:30am—Meet for check-in, devotions, and sending 9:00am—Depart in groups to go serve 9:30am-3:00pm—Serve at partner sites (see next page!) 3:30pm—Return to POP to play, shower, relax, and hang out.  Small groups will help put together dinner for the group on Wednesday & Thursday. 4:30pm– Group Reflection and Worship 5:30pm—Dinner together & dismissal When? Thursday, August 2 through Saturday, August 4 Come for one, two, or all three days! What? Connect with local partners like: Matthew 25 Ministries  NEST LIFE Food Pantry First Lutheran The Giving Fields Tikkun Farm  And more! Cost We will collect freewill donations for the meals in the evening (suggested: $5 per person) and charge for the t-shirt. Registration An online registration form is below.
