Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”John 11:25-26
When a loved one dies, the church is here for you. Our hope is to be a source of comfort, offer compassionate care, and honor the memory of your loved one in light of the resurrection promise of our faith. Along side our pastoral staff, Prince of Peace has a caring bereavement team to support a funeral service and care for grieving families.
Typically, a funeral is planned with the pastor with consideration given to the wishes of the individual and the family. The planning process includes such things as reviewing and deciding music, readings, worship elements, eulogies, burial, and reception for family and friends. Contact the church office or a pastor to begin the planning.
Prince of Peace performs funerals for non-members at pastoral discretion.
Prince of Peace performs funerals both in our sanctuary, funeral homes, or other locations. Please speak with a pastor about the individual/family’s wishes.
A visitation or reception can be held either before or after a funeral based on room availability, such as in the Gathering Space, Atrium, or Parish Life Center. Please review the Funeral Guide for further details or contact the church office.
Contact the church office at 513-683-4244 if you have any questions.
