Support The Resurrection Project
Sunday April 9 - Sunday May 28
One of the ways that we celebrate the victory of life over death through Jesus is through our generosity toward our annual Resurrection Project. This year we will be supporting both Tikkun Farm here in Cincinnati, and Chemen Lavi Miyo (CLM) in Haiti. Both of these organizations proclaim resurrection hope each day through their restorative work. They also are doing so this year under challenging circumstances as Tikkun recovers from a devastating fire in December, and CLM struggles to do their work amidst the continued unrest in Haiti. The first $7500 raised will go to Tikkun to erect temporary housing for their employees for the summer. The rest of the money raised will go toward sponsoring women in the CLM program.
Chemen Lavi Miyo (CLM) Micro-Finance in Haiti
Chemen Lavi Miyo (CLM) is an initiave which helps the ultra-poor of Haiti escape the shackles of ultra-poverty. Over 18 months, participants develop economic engines to support their families, are taught critical life skills, and are mentored by a caring case worker.
The Haitian Timoun Foundation has launched hundreds of women through CLM, and with your generosity we can continue to create life-giving impact for Haiti’s poor. Your gifts will go directly to creating new life for a woman, her family, her community, Haiti, and the world.
Our work with the people of Haiti is just one of the ways we see lives being transformed through commitment to following Jesus here at Prince of Peace.
Tikkun Farm
Tikkun Farm, a 3.5 acre nonprofit farm in the neighborhood of Mt. Healthy, Cincinnati, engages in the sacred work of restoring people, community, and creation. We hope, through meaningful work and spiritual practices, Tikkun Farm offers our guests an experience of belonging and Belovedness.
Tikkun is a Hebrew word meaning “repair” or “restore.” The phrase Tikkun Olam captures the collective life purpose of the Jewish people to “repair the world.” Our most sacred work involves partnering with Love to heal the wounds of the human journey. This includes repairing lives, structures, creation, bodies, relationships, neighborhoods, and nations.
Together we can be a hopeful, helpful part of Tikkun’s mission after their devastating fire on Christmas Eve.
