Get ready to hear a 60+ piece Concert Band perform in our sanctuary! We are looking forward to welcoming these students and their conductor, Cory Near.

Hosts needed! Can you help? We need 30 host homes (2 students per home) and help with a meal for the choir on Thursday afternoon. Please sign up here or contact Toby Lyke or Mary Ellen Helms.

Hosts provide

·     A bed/couch / air mattress for at least 2 students. (Students can share a queen bed, but a private sleeping space is requested for all groups).

·     Transportation from POP on Thursday evening and back on Friday morning

·     Breakfast

A little more about the band: The Luther College Concert Band is from Decorah, Iowa. This select wind ensemble, comprised of 60 students representing a variety of academic studies, is under the direction of Cincinnati native Cory Near. Listeners will be treated to an assortment of delightful musical genres, ranging from tender melodies to marches to techno. One of the oldest collegiate touring ensembles in the nation, Concert Band is pleased to appear in Ohio as part of their Spring 2023 Tour. The performance is open to all, with no tickets required. Freewill donations will be collected to defray travel expenses.
